On June 3, the South End/Lower Roxbury Youth Workers Alliance (YWA) will host its annual fundraiser, the YouthShines! Art Auction, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Ben Franklin Institute at 41 Berkeley Street in Boston. The Art Auction is a chance for Boston child and teen artists to show their masterpieces and raise funds for youth work. The event will have snacks and an open bar, a silent auction and a live auction hosted by David Brown of WCVB-TV.
Tickets are $40 ($30 in advance) and available at A Street Frames on 4 Clarendon Street, Diseno/Bos on 409 Harrison Avenue, and Turtle on 619A Tremont Street.
The YWA is an innovative grassroots organization, supporting youth workers to provide the highest quality programming to young people in our community. REEP Program Director Marlena Rose is a longtime member and former Steering Committee member, and REEP Youth Organizer David Jenkins is a current Member-Leader of the Advocacy Committee.
Join us at YouthShines to honor YWA's amazing work, have a great time and perhaps even end up with a beautiful piece of art!
