The State of Gentrification: National Town Hall
Across the country (and world) gentrification and neo-liberal development are aggressively displacing entire communities, cultures and histories of people. These policies feature the destruction of public education, housing and community space; aggressive policing and mass incarceration that disproportionately targets black, brown, indigenous and immigrant communities; the eradication and erasure of cultural and neighborhood institutions; and the rapid expansion of private luxury development.
We invite our community members, new and potential ACE members, and partners to share our perspective around the connection between climate justice, and community development and planning through an alternate version of the ACE toxic tour. Come and share your stories and experiences.
